Beverly Hillbillies Star Donna Douglas Dies at 81

Donna Douglas, who starred on The Beverly Hillbillies, died Thursday at the age of 81. Douglas's niece, Charlene Smith, told the Associated Press that Douglas passed away on New Year's Day in Baton Rouge, from pancreatic cancer.
Douglas began her career by competing in beauty pageants, winning Miss Baton Rouge and Miss New Orleans before traveling to New York to pursue work in show business. She landed a starring role opposite Elvis Presley in the 1966 film Frankie and Johnny, and appeared as the woman in bandages in one of The Twilight Zone's most memorable episodes, "Eye of the Beholder."
She eventually beat out 500 other actresses for the role of the bombshell tomboy Elly May Clampett on The Beverly Hillbillies, which ran on CBS from 1962 to 1971.
Following The Beverly Hillbillies, Douglas worked in real estate, recorded country and gospel music, and wrote a Biblical-themed children's book. She was so dedicated to Christianity, she even signed her autographs with a quote from the Bible.
Douglas is survived by her son Danny P. Bourgeois.

Transporter: The Series
In “Chimera,” the FBI tasks Frank with liberating a chemical weapon from a Triad crime lord based in Chicago’s Chinatown. Composer Alan Menken and lyricist Glenn Slater provide the show’s original songs.

8pm, TNT

Brooklyn Nine-Nine
The gang is stoked for a weekend getaway in “Beach House,” but Jake puts a damper on the fun by inviting Capt. Holt. In non-ruined amusements, Charles coaches Rosa on the fine art of romantic texting, and Gina gets her jollies by plying Amy with booze.

9pm, ABC
Resurrection
A maelstrom triggers a power outage in “Prophecy,” complicating Bellamy and the Langstons’ search for a missing Jacob and Margaret. Elsewhere, a mysterious stranger decides that the perfect time to roll into town is during a devastating storm, so you know there won’t be anything at all sinister about him.

9pm, Fox
Family Guy
