When O.J. Simpson was on trial for the murder of his wife, he really could've used a friend. And in Ryan Murphy's upcoming FX true-crime series American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson, which recreates that trial, Simpson will have one of the best Friends.
David Schwimmer, who played Ross on the hit NBC sitcom, is joining the cast to play Robert Kardashian, one of Simpson's confidants and attorneys, FX announced Friday.
Schwimmer joins an impressive cast that already includes Cuba Gooding Jr. as Simpson and Sarah Paulson as prosecuting attorney Marcia Clark.
The drama, an anthology like Murphy's other FX series American Horror Story, will base its first season on the Jeffrey Tobin book The Run of His Life: The People v. O.J. Simpson and be told from the perspectives of the lawyers in the trial.
