USA Orders the Christian Slater-Starring Hacker Drama Mr. Robot

At least the Sony hack is helping someone. On Friday, USA Network ordered 10 episodes of Mr. Robot, a new drama about an elite hacker who's caught between the criminal underground and the cybersecurity firm he works for.
24's Rami Malek stars as Elliot, a programmer who battles his anti-social disorder by hacking people, while Christian Slater plays the titular Mr. Robot, a mysterious anarchist who recruits young hackers—including Elliot—to work for his underground collective.
Portia Doubleday, Carly Chaikin (Suburgatory's Dalia), and Martin Wallstrom also star.
"Mr. Robot could not be more timely and relevant," USA Network president Chris McCumber said in a statement.
The series will mark Christian Slater's latest return to television after a string of failed series, including Mind Games and Breaking In.
Mr. Robot is slated to debut during the 2015–2016 TV season.

Do you think the show will help Slater break his TV curse?
