USA (Finally!) Renews Playing House for Season 2

This is a major cause for celebration, jammers! USA has renewed Playing House for a second season, the network announced Tuesday.
The series will return in the second half of 2015 with eight new episodes. And in a newfangled twist, each episode will debut one week early on various video on-demand platforms to create new ways for marketers to reach the show's dedicated audience.
The renewal comes six months after the excellent half-hour comedy, about two female best friends raising a baby together, aired its Season 1 finale. Although the show averaged just 862,000 viewers in its first season, it has developed a fiercely loyal following online—and deservedly so, because it also happens to be one of the best new comedies of 2014.
“We are over the moon to be back in action for another season of Playing House on USA! We owe a huge thanks to the network and Universal Cable Productions for their support, and we are excited about our new opportunities with on-demand," series creators and stars Jessica St. Clairand Lennon Parham said in a statement. "But we wouldn't be here if it weren't for our die-hard fans and their overwhelming love for our show. Every tweet, article, drawing, Facebook post made this next season a reality (especially the pics of tiny hedgehogs and babies dressed up as Bosephus!) The ladies are back!”
St. Clair and Parham also filmed the following video announcement to help spread the good news:
